Resources Available for Utah Cities, Towns, and Counties
What services are available?
We are currently running four statewide projects that are provided at no cost to participating local partners.
Project 1 - Managed Detection and Response
This project provides access to an industry leading Managed Detection and Response platform for endpoint security. Through this project we are providing licenses that include the following services:
- Next Gen Anti-Virus that leverages Machine learning and AI
- Behavioral Based Endpoint Detection and Response
- 24x7x365 Managed Detection and Response
Project 2 - Vulnerability Management Platform
In conjunction with Project 1, we are providing access to a vulnerability management system that runs in parallel with the Managed Detection and Response platform. It will detect application and OS vulnerabilities on the monitored systems. The results of these scans will provide a targeted and prioritized list of vulnerabilities for remediation.
Project 3 - Security Awareness Training
This program provides access to a robust Training and Phishing tool. Included courses cover topics such as regulated data, password security, computer hygiene, insider threats, email exploits, overview of threats, social media security guidance, USB device hygiene, and reporting. In addition to the training aspect, this tool can also be used to provide simulated phishing services.
Project 4 - Security Training for IT Professionals
We are providing training for IT Professionals by offering seats in an instructor-led course focused on various CompTIA and other security related certifications. In addition to the courses, participants will also be given digital study materials. They will also receive a voucher covering the cost of the exam including a single retake if needed.
Who is eligible to participate in these programs?
Participation in these projects is currently open to all Utah city, town, and county governments and Service and Special Service Districts that provide lifeline services (water, wastewater, emergency services, etc.).
